Church History

  1867 - The Baptist people of Courtland worshipped at Antioch, two miles west of Courtland, only a cemetery remains.

  1881 - The Baptists, the Presbyterians, and the Methodists of Courtland joined together to build a local house of worship. This building remains today and belongs to the Presbyterians.

  1891 - Colonel Cread L Hurt made it possible for Courtland Baptist to have their own place of worship. this building stood for 87 years.

  1964 - Educational Annex completed

  1969 - New Sanctuary dedicated

  2005 - Newly remodeled Sanctuary, Educational facility and newly built Little Church dedicated
